The 2021 Lutcher Bulldogs, and especially the offense, finish the regular season statistically one of the best teams in the history of the storied football program.
Last Saturday afternoon, Lutcher Bulldog quarterback D’Wayne “Lunch” Winfield once again prepared and served a multi-course late lunch to his opponent on the football field.
The St. James Wildcat football team captured a 21-7 victory over the Patterson Lumberjacks last week on Senior night and with the win St. James improved to 3-1 in league play and a victory over E.D. White in the regular season finale on Friday would give them at least a share of the league title.
The 2021 Lutcher Bulldog offense, who until last Friday had been on a roll and literally unstoppable, met their match in Thibodaux when they faced off against the E.D. White Cardinals and their stifling defense.
