The St. James Wildcat football team saw its season come to an end last Thursday when the Madison Prep Academy (MPA) Chargers came away with a 33-10 victory in the regional round of the Class 3A State playoffs.
Last Friday’s cool, brisk temperature could not cool down Lutcher Bulldog running back Roy Forrest as the senior ball carrier literally ran over the Bogalusa Lumberjacks in last Friday’s 54-27 second round playoff win as he rushed for 179-yards on 17 carries and scored six rushing TDs (three TDs in the first half and three TDs in the second).

The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team reached the semifinal round of the Division III state playoffs before being ousted by a familiar foe in E.D. White by set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-22, 16-25, 15-7 played last week at the State Tournament played in the Cajun Dome in Lafayette.
