Louisiana Sugar Refining (LSR), recently announced plans to expand the operation of its 207-acre sugar refinery in Gramercy to process more Louisiana raw cane sugar to meet the increasing customer demand for an array of sugar products.

The Town of Gramercy had a bit of a scare on Tuesday at roughly 10:00 a.m. as a small chlorine leak occurred at the Town’s water treatment plant.
