The Louisiana High School Athletic Associations (LHSAA), in the middle of a global pandemic, did something few people thought was possible - excuted an entire sports calendar complete with championship events. It was something many states across the nation were not able to do so perhaps a paton-the-LHSAA’s-back is in order.

St. James Parish Government, Department of Human Resources, Community Action Agency will be taking applications for the Quarterly Commodities Food Distribution Program for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 beginning June 1st-June 30th, 2021. All persons receiving quarterly commodities must recertify annually by reporting current household information and proof of income. Individuals who are not currently receiving quarterly commodities are encouraged to complete an application including the following documentation: picture identification (ID), current proof of household income and residency i.e. utility bill, to receive commodities during the next distribution.
The Lutcher Methodist Church returned to service for the first time since Covid on Sunday, May 23rd, and the service was just in time to celebrate the 99th birthday of their oldest surviving member, Zula Singletary Dupuy.
