Paulina’s own Wayne “Weasel’ Troxclair, who has been bass fishing more than roughly 40-years, caught and landed this 10.95-pound lunker largemouth bass last Friday, April 11th, in Toledo Bend.
The Lutcher Lady Bulldog softball team clinched at least a share of the District 8-4A championship (have won or shared District trophy nine of last ten-years) when they beat the Assumption High Lady Mustangs in dramatic fashion thanks to the late game heroics of senior left fielder Kenzie Millet.
The St. James Wildcat baseball team split a pair of District 7-3A games against the Patterson Lumberjacks.
The Lutcher High Bulldog Baseball team captured its second District 8-4A victory after defeating the Morgan City Tigers by a 3-2 score that went eight innings.
The River Parish Relays were held at St. James High School in Vacherie as both St. James and Lutcher Track & Field teams participated at the annual event.
