Note from the Editor: In last week’s edition of the News Examiner-Enterprise, in the article titled Six-year Old Victim of Drive-by Shooting, I ended the article by writing “Perhaps the St. James Parish Council should revisit its ordinance governing the rules and regulations concerning renting Parish owned spaces and whether repasses and/or bereavements should be exempt from following the Parish’s Rental Ordinance.”

Todd Poché Announces His Candidacy For St. James Parish Councilman District 1

I, Todd Poche’, am formally announcing my candidacy for St. James Parish Councilman for District 1. Current Councilman Alvin “Shark” St. Pierre is not seeking reelection to this position. Voting is scheduled for Saturday, October 14 with early voting slated for September 30 through October 4.
