St. John Theatre 2023 Concerts

St. John Theatre is excited to announce that the year long intermission due to Hurricane Ida is coming to a close. We proudly unveil the first concerts of our 2023 concert series. The Grand Reopening will feature the legendary St John Parish band, IMAGE, on Saturday, January 21st. Two weeks later, the premier Eagles tribute band, ALREADY GONE, will be appearing in all its glory on February 4th. March 4th will dawn with the performance of REO SURVIVOR, the region's best REO Speedwagon Survivor Tribute band.

Well, the age-old tradition of the Lighting of the Bonfires on Christmas Eve could not have happened at a more perfect time as St. James Parish and much of the United States was experiencing an Arctic blast that sent temperatures plummeting into the 20s for nearly four straight nights.

Council Seeks To Give Itself A Pay Raise

The St. James Parish Council, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, voted to introduce an ordinance granting a 45 percent increase in the monthly stipend paid to the members of the Council, but will not take effect until the next Council takes office in January 2024.
