The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team began the Division III state playoffs last week. The Lady 'Dogs, who were seeded No. 5 in the playoff bracket, defeated No. 21 Iowa in the regional round by set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-20.
The St. James Wildcat football team suffered a 50-28 loss to the Donaldsonville Tigers in a District 9-3A contest played at Nicholls’ John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux.
The Berwick Panthers were no match for the Lutcher Bulldogs last Thursday in Berwick as the Bulldog offense compiled 516-yards of offense and the first-team defense forced the Panthers into three and out on 12 of their 13 offensive possessions.
The Lutcher Lady Bulldog Volleyball team wrapped up regular season play last week and will now prepare to participate in the state playoffs.
