Last week, the Lutcher High Bulldog baseball team advanced to the Division II (nonselect) quarterfinals by defeating Jennings in two straight games of a best of three series.
Brianna Pittman, a seventh grader at St. James High School and daughter of Tranika and Derrick Pittman, Sr. started competitive Gymnastics at 5 years old. Brianna has competed at many different levels each year and is currently an XCEL Gold Gymnast at age 12.

The St. James Boys & Girls Track & Field teams competed in the annual District 8-3A Meet. The top four finishers in the District Meet will qualify for the Regional Meet.
The Lutcher High Lady Bulldog softball team beat Morgan City and Beau Chene in the regional and quarterfinal rounds and are now two games away from claiming a state championship as the team is headed to the semifinal round of the Division II non-select playoffs.
