St. Charles Comet senior pitcher/slugger Jackson Monica won’t soon forget the performance he put up against the Pope John Paul II Jaguars in the rubber match of quarterfinal round of the Division III (select) high school baseball playoffs.
The brother/sister duo of Zoë and Duke Stein captured State Championships in the LHSAA Division III Tournament held at the Heard Tennis Center in Monroe on the campus of ULM.

Last week, the Lutcher High Bulldog baseball team advanced to the Division II (nonselect) quarterfinals by defeating Jennings in two straight games of a best of three series.
Brianna Pittman, a seventh grader at St. James High School and daughter of Tranika and Derrick Pittman, Sr. started competitive Gymnastics at 5 years old. Brianna has competed at many different levels each year and is currently an XCEL Gold Gymnast at age 12.
