St. James Parish Hospital would like to recognize last year’s Employees of the Quarter, 2020 Service Award Winners and Volunteers for their dedication and service to the hospital.

Ten days after environmental groups opposing Formosa (FG LA) filed a lawsuit in a Washington, D.C. based Federal Court where they also asked a Judge to issue a preliminary injunction to stop the project in its tracks, a Judge has approved an agreement between FG LA, the federal government and the plaintiffs that, among other things, drops seeking a preliminary injunction, sets stipulations concerning construction activities at the site, and allows FG LA to continue planned preconstruction activities.
The St. James Parish Council met virtually last Wednesday, July 22nd, in their usual time slot, to take action on a number of agenda items.
The St. James Parish School Board met Tuesday and the big ticket item on the agenda was for the Board to cast a vote to approve the comprehensive plan to educate students in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
