Roussel And Gravois’ Attorneys Request To Make Presentation To Council Denied

Defense attorneys representing former St. James Parish President Timmy Roussel and former Parish Director of Operations Blaise Gravois recently requested, but were denied, to be placed on the August 5th Parish Council agenda to submit letters and make a presentation to the council regarding reimbursement for legal fees and court costs that their clients have amassed since being indicted for Malfeasance in Office nearly four-years ago.

Retired Teachers Update

The St. James Parish Retired Teachers Association’s September 10th meeting has been cancelled as recommended by LRTA officials. New retirees will be honored at a future meeting. The fall District II meeting will be conducted virtually.

Virus Numbers Continue To Rise; Could Group And Family Gatherings Be The Culprit?

The number of new COVID-19 cases here in St. James Parish continue to increase, some days much more than others, and St. James Parish Hospital CEO MaryEllen Pratt and St. James Sheriff Willy Martin, Jr. both stress that the community needs to remain steadfast on following the guidelines geared to slow the spread.

4-H Enrollment For The 20-21 School Year

As the St. James Parish 4-H office begins the 20-21 school year, please know that we will be making all of our programs available as we do each year. Some things may look a little different, but rest assured we are here to serve the youth of St. James. We will begin in person in some of the schools but know that all of our newsletters, club meetings, resources, online events etc. will be available online in our 4-H Google Classroom.
