Students in Mrs. Tasha’s first grade class at Vacherie Elementary School are working hard towards meeting their goal in reading. Students are recognizing high-frequency words, reading fluently, and decoding words correctly. Every day students read to build fluency and meet their end-of-year expectations. Reading fluently helps students comprehend text and develop a joy for reading.
The second grade class at St. Peter Chanel recently spent a few weeks during their english class to write creative stories and draw an illustration to accompany their story.
