The annual LSU Ag- Center report and a presentation on the progress of Parish redistricting efforts were given to the St. James Parish Council last Tuesday, November 23rd, at the regular meeting in Vacherie.
The St. James Parish Council last week committed $2.5 million dollars to the continuation of the Mississippi River trails which will eventually allow walkers or cyclists to travel on either side of the levee from St. James Parish to New Orleans.
Following a one-hour Public Hearing, the St. James Parish Council last Tuesday passed an ordinance giving the council the power to decide whether and how much they will pay for attorney fees, costs and expenses incurred by officers, officials, and employees of St. James Parish government in civil or criminal litigation if found not guilty.
