Lavigne Receives Prestigious Laetare Award

Sharon Lavigne of St. James received the Laetare Medal during commencement activities held at Notre Dame University on Sat., May 14 in South Bend, Indiana. The most prestigious award given to an American Catholic, the medal has the Latin inscription, “Magna est veritas et veritas et praevalebit,” meaning “Truth is mighty, and it shall prevail.”
