Referring to Sunday’s shooting in Gramercy (see article above), it is hard to comprehend why a father would want to protect someone who had not only just attempted to kill him, but also shot his two-year old child and could have easily shot and possibly killed his two other children and the mother to those three innocent children.
If the following story about a two-year old child being shot once in each leg does not wake up and rile up the St. James Parish community then I guess an innocent child will have to be killed before action is taken.

I have a little vegetable garden in my yard and the plants are looking great. The same can be said for my flowers, window boxes, and the satsuma tree. But those poor cool-season weeds? They seem to be coming to an end. Pre-emerge herbicides last fall were neglected (best applied September through November) and I’ve had quite a crop. Many of these weeds are annuals and they’re going to seed as their life cycles finish.
The LSU AgCenter, West St. James Farm Bureau, and East St. James Farm Bureau will sponsor the Home Vegetable Garden Contest this spring for adults and 4-H / youth.
