The St. James Parish Department of Human Resources (DHR) continues to face challenges in finding a new location for the Vacherie Senior Center and the St. James ARC. The New Hope International Church building was denied and so was another building owned by the church that was previously used as an adult daycare center because there is no dumpster pad. The Diamond Center was also denied because of the sewer system.
