On Saturday, April 23rd, individuals and groups from around St. James Parish gathered to pick up litter as part of the Love the Boot Week.
Last Saturday’s St. James Parish School Board ad valorem tax renewal election went in the Board’s favor as more than 80% of voters who voted were in support.
The Lutcher Bulldog baseball team took care of business in the Regional Round of the State Class 3A playoffs and are moving on to the next round after defeating Kaplan in the first two games of the best of three series.
The St. James Parish Planning Commission is conducting a Public Hearing on Monday, May 9th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Vacherie Courthouse Annex. This meeting is to receive Public input on two proposed solar farms that would be placed on nearly 4,000 acres of land due west of Highway 20 from the River Road to the Molaison area.
