Xyviara Davis, Lutcher Local Gets Accepted Into Medical School
Xyviara Davis has been focusing and planning her life to become a doctor since she was a young girl. She credits her unwavering passion for pursing medicine to God, often saying “this is His plan.” As a seventh grade student at Lutcher High School, Xyviara began taking her high school courses so that she could begin dual enrollment courses as soon as she could. “As the middle of five, beautiful children, Xyviara was nothing short of the mediator, the glue, the problem solver and the therapist for her siblings and did everything she could to minimize the strain on me being a single mother” says mother of Xyviara. That was the fuel that helped her to excel in academics and graduate with over a 4.0 gpa and enough dual enrollment credits to gain her bachelors degree in biology in only 2 years from Louisiana State university.
