Last Friday, the Town of Lutcher was a guinea pig of sorts when a few select streets in Lutcher became testing sites for a new road/street surface material that could change the way roadways are not only repaired and resurfaced, but also built from scratch.

The St. James Parish Retired Teachers Association meeting will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the Public Relations Building located on the campus of Lutcher High School.
School is out for the summer, but learning hasn’t stopped for students in Louisiana. On June 27, students in kindergarten through 12th grade were immersed in the world of science, technology, engineering and math as part of STEM Fest at Lutcher High School. Led by STEM Global Action, a nonprofit focused on introducing STEM to students in under-served communities, STEM Fest seeks to encourage students to find passion in STEMrelated fields through opportunities they may not otherwise experience. The event was made possible in part by a $50,000 grant from Mosaic.
Highway Baptist Church, and Pastor, Dr. Charles Oatis, Sr. along with St. James Parish Democratic Executive Committee is hosting a Prayer Breakfast on August 3, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. for all Pastors in St. James Parish.
