St. James Parish Government, Dept. Of Human Resources, CAA 2024 Toy & Sweatshirt Drive
St. James Parish Government, Dept. of Human Resources, CAA is sponsoring its annual Toy and Sweatshirt Drive for needy families in St. James Parish. The Special Programs Department is currently accepting donations to purchase Toys and Sweatshirts through December 6, 2024.
National Magazine Editor Visits St. James Parish
Walt Cooley, Editor-inchief of Progressive Publishing, visited St. James Parish last weekend. Mr. Cooley spent the day with the Cavalier family of ET Ranch on the west bank of St. James Parish. He was here to do a feature story highlighting the three generations of Cavaliers and their beef cattle operation. ET Ranch specializes in registered Chiangus and Hereford Cattle. The ranch utilizes award-winning genetics to produce hybrid cattle that will excel in both the show ring and the pasture.

Puberty Classes Offered At SJPH
St. James Parish Hospital has scheduled Fall Puberty Classes for Boys and Girls. St. James Parish Hospital’s education team hosts puberty classes to discuss growth and development changes that occur during puberty.
