The Thirty-third annual Festival of the Bonfires was held last weekend at the Lutcher Park and the crowds were large, especially for the always popular Gumbo Cook-off held on Friday night.
The 11th annual East St James Parish Top 6 Bass Tourney was held on December 6th and when the boats returned and all the fish were weighed and the pounds and ounces tallied, the Tri-Parish Fishing Club came out on top.
Low-income residents of St. James Parish may be eligible for financial assistance to help pay utility bills, through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
In their final meeting of the calendar year and the final meeting of outgoing Mayor Steve Nosacka and Alderwoman Barbara Woods, the Gramercy Board of Aldermen passed four resolutions.
