The St. James Parish School Board met in special session Tuesday evening, and after spending nearly an hour and a half behind closed doors discussing and reviewing the four finalists’ personnel files, the Board returned to open session and voted to hire the District’s next Superintendent.
In honor of February being designated as Black History Month, the News Examiner-Enterprise will feature a local African American with ties to St. James Parish each week this month.
The President’s Honor List for the fall 2022 semester at McNeese State University has been announced. To be on the President’s Honor List, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.5 GPA or better while carrying at least 15 semester hours. A senior eligible for graduation but carrying less than 15 hours is also eligible provided that student was on the President’s Honor List the previous semester.
The McNeese State University Honor Roll for the 2022 fall semester has been announced. The honor roll lists undergraduate students earning at least a 3.0 or B average while carrying 12 or more semester hours.
Xavier University of Louisiana is sponsoring a meeting having to do with issues that has been caused by Covid or Long Term Covid.
