Dispute Leads To Convent Man Being Shot; Suspect In Custody

St. James Parish Sheriff Claude J. Louis, Jr. reports his officers have arrested 61-year old Carey B. Watis (male from the Convent area, in connection to a shooting that occurred Tuesday, December 10, 2024, just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 44 near the Sugar Hill RV Park in Convent.
