The St. James Parish Youth Commission is hosting a hygiene drive this summer to help collect items that will support local youth.
The St. James fishing team competed in the twoday Bass Tactix National Championship Friday June 20, 2025 and June 21, 2025 at Doiron's Landing in Morgan City. Sixty-five teams from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama qualified to fish and compete at the Bass Tactix Championship.
A local youth travel baseball team can now call themselves World Series Champs as they brought a title back to the River Parishes in dominating fashion.
On Thursday, June 12, 2025 the St. James Parish Retired Teachers Association met at the SJP School Board PR Building. Approximately 55 people were in attendance. Josh Wiggins, plant manager and Patty Prats, community affairs coordinator of Koch Methanol St. James were in attendance. Mr. Wiggins presented an excellent powerpoint that was very informative about Koch and the operations at the various facilities. Koch also sponsored the lunch for the meeting. The association appreciates Koch Methanol St. James for their generosity and their support.
