Koch Methanol St. James cleared another hurdle on Monday, June 30, 2025, when the St. James Parish Planning Commission approved and recommended to the St. James Parish Council the methanol facility’s Land Use reapplication to increase the capacity of the existing plant in St. James.
The St. James Parish Council has given the green light to a high-pressure pipeline that will carry carbon dioxide from Nucor in Convent to an out-of-parish location.
