Twenty-third Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin’s Office reports that on June 26, 2025, a St. James Parish jury found 36-year-old Carlos Washington (of 6250 Convent Station Lane, Convent) guilty as charged of 2nd Degree Murder, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and 2nd Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile.
The St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests of two Vacherie men who are suspected of engaging in a shoot-out on Kilmer Street in Vacherie.
