The LSU Tiger Football team have proven themselves in a statement win over Alabama last weekend over SEC rival Alabama. LSU's 32-31 victory over the Crimson Tide may have been the best college football game of the year. The Tigers have reached the net level of being a championship contender.
The Lutcher Bulldogs beat the Morgan City Tigers 72-0 last Friday in Lutcher, and when games like these are played, one may wonder if much good can come out of such a lopsided victory.
“Running in the Cane” Meet
The Lutcher High Lady Bulldog Volleyball team is slated to begin the state playoffs this week. Lutcher was scheduled to play in an opening round Division III Bi-District contest on Wednesday, Nov. 2. A win by Lutcher will advance the team to the Division III regional round to be played on Friday, Nov. 4. A Lutcher win in the regional round advances the team to the LHSAA State Tournament.
The St. James Wildcats are on a roll and the team picked up its seventh straight win when they took down the Donaldsonville Tigers 41-12 in a District 8-3A contest.
