Last Friday the No. 17 seeded Lutcher Bulldogs found themselves in Dry Prong, LA (due north of Alexandria and roughly 3- hours away) to face the No. 16 seeded Grant High School Cougars in the opening round of the Class 3A Playoffs, and not only did the Bulldogs return to Lutcher with a 54-13 victory, but one special Bulldog returned to town a new Bulldog football record holder.
The No. 5 seeded St. James Wildcat football team captured a convincing 43-10 victory over the No. 28 Abbeville Wildcats in a first-round Class 3A playoff contest played in Vacherie.
The St. James Wildcat football team scored early and often en route to capturing a convincing 61- 3 win over the Patterson Lumberjacks in a District 9-3A contest played last Thursday on the road in Patterson.
