Edith Hymel Melancon, born on January 26, 1921, passed away at the age of 100 on May 30, 2021. She was a native of Gramercy, Louisiana and a resident of Lutcher, Louisiana. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and doing crafts. She also loved the music of Charley Pride and Elton John. One of her favorite activities was visiting with family and friend.
Shelly Ann Bye, a resident of St. James Parish, passed on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the age of 47. She loved collecting dolphins of all kinds. She enjoyed spending time going to church. Eeyore of Winnie-the-Pooh was a favorite of hers. She adored her three dogs; Missy, Max, & Ni-Ni.
Vivian Faucheux Waguespack, age 85, passed away at her home surrounded by family on May 23, 2021 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She was a native of Wallace and a resident of Vacherie for the last 60 years. She was happily married for 60 years to her husband, Thomas L. Waguespack. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Court St. Philip 1504.
