Joseph “Junnie” L. Vicknair, Jr. passed away Monday, October 17, 2022. He was 85, born in Gramercy, LA and was a resident of Lutcher, LA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marie Poche’ Kliebert, his five children, Kent Kliebert, Bobbie (Pat) Keller, Billie (Tim) Keller, Brad (Terry) Kliebert and Danny Kliebert, his ten grandchildren, Jeremy (Courtney) Keller, Candace (Rusty) Richard, Matthew (Amanda) Seale, Aaron (Erica) Keller, Darren (Crystal) Keller, William (Angie) Seale, Brandi (Jordan) Remondet, Ashley (Jonathan) Montz, Destiny and Alyssa Kliebert, and 20 great grandchildren. “Fatty” was preceded in death by his parents, Elucia Falgoust Kliebert and Samuel Kliebert, his in-laws, Lima Carmouche Poche’ and Thomas Poche’, and his siblings Daniel Kliebert, Beatrice Kliebert Picou, Thomas Kliebert, Hewitt Kliebert, Norma Faye Kliebert Bourgeois, and two infant siblings. “Fatty” served in the U.S Army for 3 years and was in combat in the Korean War. He was a member of VFW 5842, Knights of Columbus 4th degree, Men of the Sacred Heart, Diocese of Baton Rouge RENEW process, Christ Renews His Parish team, St. Joseph parish council and served as assistant fire chief of the Lutcher Volunteer Fire Department. He organized the River Road Adoration Chapel, was an apostle for the formation of St. Peter Chanel’s gymnasium and initiated the Cursillo movement in St. Joseph Church Parish. “Fatty” opened his home for high school religion classes and bible groups for many years. He received numerous Knights of Columbus service and family awards and was the recipient of the 2009 SPC Mother Seton Award.
