Ready, Set, Grow!

June has been a rough month on vegetable gardens. It got hot quickly, stressing many plants and opening them to attack by insects and diseases. But some gardeners are still doing well and were willing to let LSU AgCenter Master Gardener volunteers (plus my daughter) judge them for our St. James Home Garden Contest. This was the first in-person contest since 2019 so we were glad to have several entries, including a couple of firsttime gardeners.
