Public Hearing Sheds Some Light On Proposed Changes To Ordinance Covering Defense Fees, Costs & Expenses

A proposed ordinance that would amend the way Parish employees who are sued civilly and/or charged criminally and then found not liable/guilty are reimbursed for defense costs continues to make the news as a Public Hearing on this matter was held ahead of last Wednesday’s regular St. James Parish Council meeting in Convent.

LaRhonda graduated from Lutcher High School in 1993 and received a Bachelors from Southern University at New Orleans in 2003 and a Masters from Grand Canyon University in 2015. LaRhonda has been married now for 26 years to Ron Wilson Sr. This union has blessed them with 3 great boys-ZyRon a sophomore at OLE MISS, Ronde’ a freshman at The Southern University and Ron Jr. a Junior at Louisiana Tech University.

Katie Klibert Appointed To Port Of South LA Board Of Commissioners

On October 8, 2021, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards announced his appointment of Katie Klibert of LaPlace, Louisiana to the Port of South Louisiana Commission. She is filling the position left vacant by Patrick C. Sellars, who passed away on July 22, 2021. Klibert is a native of St. John the Baptist Parish and, along with her husband and son, has lived and worked in the River Region for over 20 years.
