Last Friday was a very special day for St. James Parish’s most special students as the 4th Annual St. James Parish Special Olympics was held at Lutcher High School’s football field and track.
St. James Parish Government is proud to announce that as of last week, all necessary permits for St. James Parish’s portion of the West Shore Connector Levee (WSCL) have been obtained from the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE).
Representative with 12 years of service and an experienced attorney, was sworn in on February 24, 2026, as Justice of the Peace for District 1 in the town of Gramercy.
Charmaine Ordeneaux received March’s Garden of the Month honors from the Riverside Garden Club. Club members surprised her with the sign. She has been a member of the club since 1986 and was truly humbled by this honor.
