Just prior to the close of the meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of Gramercy, Mayor Steve Nosacka and town attorney Bobby Faucheux spoke briefly of the need for upcoming controls on electronic communication among Town officials.
The St. James Parish School Board meeting held Tuesday evening was uneventful as the Board quickly ran through the agenda and conducted a few items of business. One item in particular was the Board entering into a contract with The Piquant Group, who will provide Human Resources services and support. Interim Superintendent Kelly Cook, who is currently leading the District as Superintendent and acting as the Human Resources Director duties following the retirement of long-time HR Director Carol Webre, said she needs support because there are not enough hours in the day to answer every call and every email and stay on top of certifications of the District’s various employees.
