Nicholls State University Degrees
Nicholls State University awarded 710 degrees during its spring commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Of the degrees awarded, 51 were summa cum laude graduates, 275 were named to the president’s list, 68 were named to the dean’s list and 48 were honor roll graduates.
Camella Landry Seeks District 2 Council Seat
Citing her decades of business experience and long-time record of community involvement, Camella St. Pierre Landry announced recently that she is a candidate for the District 2 seat on the St. James Parish Council. Current Councilmember Jason Amato is not seeking re-election to this position. Voting is scheduled for Saturday, October 14th with early voting slated for September 30 through October 4.
SJP Elderly Alzheimer’s Voucher Program ‘23-’24
St. James Parish Government, Department of Human Resources, Elderly Program has available slots for the Alzheimer’s Voucher Program for the fiscal year 2023-2024 and is currently taking applications.
