The cross of Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith and to the ongoing process of sanctification. No one who claims to follow Jesus can live victoriously over sin without an understanding of the cross and what Jesus accomplished there.

The Lutcher High Lady Bulldog Softball team began its season on a winning note after defeating the Prairieville Lady Hurricanes by a 5-2 score. Lady Bulldog coach Cathy Bland welcomed out 21 players for this year’s team and will have four seniors dotting the roster. Last season Lutcher reached the semifinals of the Division II non-select playoffs at the state tournament finishing with a 25-8 record.
The Lutcher High Lady Bulldog Basketball team came away with 61-48 victory over the Northlake Christian Lady Wolverines in a non-district contest.
The St. James Wildcat Basketball team captured a 58-39 victory over the Patterson Lumberjacks in a District 7-3A contest.
