A contentious courtroom dispute over leadership at First Community Antioch Baptist Church in Convent escalated Tuesday when ad hoc Judge Walter I. Lanier, III denied a motion to recuse the presiding Judge from the case. The plaintiffs filed the motion citing a judicial error and concerns regarding impartiality, but the Court found no grounds for disqualification.
