The St. James Wildcat football team suffered its first loss of the season at the hands of the Terrebonne Tigers, who registered a 288 victory in a non-district contest played at Tom B. Smith Stadium in Houma.

Thank the Lord the railroad track at David Drive in Lutcher has been repaired. Last week Canadian National (CN) rail workers were on scene making repairs to the track, which had become a hazard to vehicles traveling over the track. Thank You CN!

Vacherie resident Irving “Boo” Schexnayder, Jr. was recently named to the 2025 Class of the U. S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
