Lutcher Bulldog head football coach Dwain Jenkins says it has been a roller coaster of a ride through the first six games and he’s hoping the remainder of the season goes a bit more smooth.
The St. James Wildcat football team saw its two-game win streak come to an end when the Archbishop Shaw Eagles held onto a 24-20 victory in a nondistrict contest played at Ben Zimmerman Field in Marrero.
St. James High School will name four to the Hall of Fame and one to the Hall of Distinction during the halftime of the Friday, October 24th game to be played at Wildcat stadium in Vacherie.
Vacherie native and St. James High School principal Shawn Oubre will be the first to tell you that becoming a high school principal was never on her career bucket list of things to accomplish.
St. James High School will name four to the Hall of Fame and one to the Hall of Distinction during the halftime of the Friday, October 24 game to be played at Wildcat stadium in Vacherie. Among those receiving honors are Leo Bossier and Caledonia Ceasar. Bossier was the head coach of the Wildcats from 1957 to 1960. He still holds the highest winning percentage in St. James High School history at 81.4 percent. His sons are expected to come to receive the award on their dad’s behalf. Special guests for the game are those coached by Bossier.
