Local Teenager Heads To The Jr. Olympics For The Second Time

Micah Waguespack has earned an invitation to the 2023 National Junior Olympic Rifle Championship once again. This year, he will travel to Colorado Springs, CO to compete at the Olympic Training Center. He will compete in 10-meter air rifle. Over a 4-day period, Micah will shoot multiple matches. He placed first in the Louisiana Junior Olympic Qualifier held this past January in Gramercy.

Winbush-Chriswell Scholarship Foundation

The Winbush-Chriswell Scholarship Applications became available on April 1, 2023 from the Lutcher High School Counselor’s Office, churches in Lutcher, Gramercy and Paulina or from any of the Board of Directors. The deadline for submission of the application is April 28, 2023. Don’t bother turning any in after the deadline date for they will not be considered.
