DELBASTY

Adrien Augustus Delbasty, Jr., a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Gramercy, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born January 2, 1934 and devoted his entire life to taking care of and loving his family. He was a plane mechanic in the Air Force and veteran of the Korea Conflict. He retired 30 years ago from Shell Taft, and enjoyed his family, carpentry, gardening, and his computer. He was the best daddy, papaw and papa to all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Audrey Z. Zeringue, a resident of Gramercy, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the age of 84. She devoted her entire life to caring for her husband and family, including extended family in times of need. She loved tending to her flowers, sharing her love of sewing, baking and most importantly, her faith. As empty nesters, she and dad revitalized their love of dance through cajun dancing, traveling across the country performing, teaching, and sharing Louisiana culture. But most of all, family time was her greatest love.

Rosa J. Steptoe, a former resident of Lutcher and retired educator who taught 5th grade at Central Elementary and Paulina Elementary Schools for many years, died December 31, 2021 at her home in Suwanee, GA. She was 84.

Charles E. Ursa, a native of Bloomington, IN and a resident of Garyville, LA, passed away on January 6, 2022, at the age of 92.

Leon K. Poché, 93, died peacefully on December 31, 2021 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Poché was a native of Convent, Louisiana and a long-time resident of Crowley, Louisiana. Poché, a retired Certified Public Accountant, dedicated his life to three passions - his family, his faith, and his profession.
