Valerie 'Sue' Martinez Gravois, 70, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 10:36 a.m. Born September 21, 1952 she was a native of Kraemer, LA and resident of Vacherie, LA.
Joseph Earl Samrow, born on November 4, 1926, passed away at the age of 96 on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was a native of Slidell, resided in Baton Rouge, and was a current resident of Gramercy, LA.
It is with mixtures of joy and sorrow that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Isra Berlin (I.B.) Thames to his eternal home in glory. He passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023 in the presence of his family at the age of 91.
Hazel Lasserre Scioneaux was born on December 25, 1932, and died surrounded by her daughters on January 21, 2023, at the age of 90. She was a native and resident of Vacherie/St. James. She cherished her role as a selfless wife, mother, grand- and great-grandmother and homemaker. She devoted her life to helping others, caring for everyone she knew as family. She was a devout Catholic and worked for 25 years as secretary at St. James Catholic Church. She will be lovingly remembered and missed for her unwavering servant heart. She enjoyed several hobbies including gardening, sewing, crafting, as well as spoiling and being an avid supporter of her grand- and great-grandchildren.
