Rita Lorraine “Lully” Arceneaux Giardina

Rita Lorraine “Lully” Arceneaux Giardina, a native and resident of Gramercy, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 89. She loved to travel, play Pokeno, and sing in the choir. She also collected angels and dolls throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Donna G. Chabaud and Dane K. Giardina (Cissy); her grandchildren, Jamie Chabaud (Scott), and Jason Chabaud (Natalie); her great-grandchild, Emma Korrine Chabaud; siblings, Janet Z. Calcagno, Edmond Arceneaux, Jr., and Yvonne Veron.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Bubba” Giardina; parents, Edmond J. and Gladys Guidry Arceneaux; great-grandchild, Emsley Grace Chabaud; sister, Barbara Duhe; son-in-law, John L. Chabaud; and brother-in-laws, Richard Duhe, Sr., Ralph Zeringue, Anthony Calcagno, and Gaston Veron.

A visitation was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until mass time. A Mass of Christian Burial began at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina, LA.
