KOLMAN
Christopher Kay Kolman was born on March 4, 1962 and passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the age of 64. He was a lifelong resident of Gramercy, LA.
For nearly four decades, Chris’s craftsmanship as a local florist set the backdrop for life’s meaningful moments: a special Valentine's bouquet excitedly accepted on a front doorstep, a sympathy spray for those no longer with us or a wedding hall draped with handpicked florals. Chris was a stranger to no one. He was a beloved uncle, a dedicated Pokeno player, an avid traveler, pet devotee to his birds (Taylor, Bingo, Desmond and Kiwi), and a generous friend to many.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Cromer and husband Michael; along with three nieces, Jessica C. Samrow (Bentley), Erin Cromer Twal (Peter), Nicole Cromer Brian, (Blake). He was also survived by his godchild Alexis M. Laney and eight great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Armand Kay and Lillian Kolman, his loving partner Jim Rooker.
He was dearly loved and will be missed. Visitation will be held at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 pm, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
