Emilie “Nemi” Babin Keller entered Paradise on September 1, 2022, at her residence. Born on February 21, 1935, she was 87 years old at the time of her passing. A native and resident of Lutcher, LA

Emilie is survived by her four sons and daughters-inlaw: Kenny Keller (Carolyn), Cory Keller, Rodney Keller (Missy), Jimmy Keller (Janell) and their father Roy E. Keller. She also has eight grandchildren: Kirby Keller (Lauren), Trish Little (Lance), Christopher Keller, Courtney Roper, (Ross), Chase Keller (Courtney), Cade Keller (Rylee), Elisabeth Laurent (Vincent), Jaime O’Dell (Austin) and nine greatgrandchildren. Emilie is also survived by one brother: Stanley Babin (Barbara). She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph J. Babin and Inez Bourgeois Babin. Brothers: Joseph J. Babin, Jr. (Verda) and Michael H. Babin. Sisters: Joyce Babin Trosclair, Inez Babin Tucker, Margie Babin and Betty Babin Richard.

“Nemi” loved spending time with her family, and she cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celebrating Christmas with the Keller Bonfire on the levee was one of her favorite Holidays as well as everyone’s Birthdays. Some of her favorite past times were cooking, baking and of course, she loved tending to her flowers. Nemi enjoyed several great adventures while traveling with her sister Joyce and friends. A devoted Catholic, Emilie loved serving her church family in many ways throughout the years. Always strong and full of faith, trusting that she would one day be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Paradise.

Nemi will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends, as well as all who had the fortune of meeting and knowing her.

Relatives and friends were invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina, LA. on Monday, September 5, 2022. Visitation was from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Mass immediately followed at 11:00 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
