Walter “BooGon” Joseph Edler, Jr. was born on June 12, 1939 and passed away on August 26, 2018 at the age of

79. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of LaPlace, LA.

Walter is survived by his wife, Carol V. Edler; daughter, Stacy E. Tierney; brother, Brent Edler; sisters, Gerri Bourgeois and Debbie Vinturella; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Edler, Sr. and Regina Laiche Edler; son, Walter J. Edler, III.; daughter, Dixie Marie Edler; and sisters, Doris Roussel and Zola Martin.

A visitation in Walter’s honor was held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Home in Lutcher, LA. Burial followed at the St. John Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in LaPlace, LA.

Rose Lynn Funeral Services was in charge of the arrangements.
