With the historic rains this spring and summer, we’ve doubled — and in some cases tripled — the average for several places in Louisiana. It is no wonder some of our plants, yards and gardens are suffering. We’ve already reached 78% of the annual amount of rain, with another half a year to go.

The St. James Parish Sugar Queen Committee is proud to announce that on Saturday, July 17th, 2021, we will be celebrating our 68th annual Miss St. James Parish Pageant and our 29th annual Teen Miss St. James Parish. Eight girls from across the parish will compete in the St. James Parish Pageant at St. James Parish Community Center located at 5775 Hwy. 44 in Convent across from St. James Parish Courthouse at 6:00 p.m.
