The St. James Parish School Board met Tuesday at Sixth Ward Elementary and the Board voted to pave the way for a “Pizza Café” to be opened at the new Career & College Center, or C3, which is a combination/merger of the former SMA and CTC. The C3 is located on the Lutcher High campus.
Last Friday, several onlookers in Vacherie got a quick glimpse of American history when a 80-year old Union Pacific steam locomotive aptly named Big Boy No. 4014 passed through town while on a 10-state tour.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFM), in partnership with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJSO), has arrested a Lutcher man for allegedly setting fire to his relative’s home which spread to two additional structures.
