USACE Awards Second West Shore Levee Contract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, announced it has awarded a contract for constructing the second levee reach on the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP) Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project.

In last week’s article titled Superintendent Holds First Meeting; Board Honors Students of the Year and Spelling Bee Winners, I reported that Shell had donated $50,000 to help pay for a three-lane walking track at Cypress Grove Montessori Academy. I also wrote the track was projected to cost $250,000.
